The (tiny) Circus
My country of birth never stops to amuse me. Yesterday, when I was walking home, there was a small circus tent in the middle of the street. In front of the tent was a hand painted sign that read. “Montecarlo’s Circus” , under it there was a smaller sign “Show at 8:30 PM” I was confused and interested. That tent was not there last night.  My brother insisted in going to the circus. How many times...

Remodeling
I have taken the task to do a interior design job in my house here in Ecuador.  So far, I have started to paint the wall of the rather large living room. After about 3 hours of work, all by myself because my brother didn’t want to help me. I only finish 25% of the room. I ran out of paint, so I shall continue tomorrow!  I got a little help from the son of one of dad’s friends. We...

Panama City
Finding cheap flights can be a blessing in disguise. My dad sent me some money to get a  tickets to by brother to come to Ecuador this January. I found a $300 deal. Way cheaper than usual, so I was able to buy two tickets, one for me too. The catch of a super cheap tickets? A 7 hour layover in Panama in the way down, and a 13 hours (yes freaking 13 hours!) layover in Panama in the way back.  To...

Knitting
I few years ago, my grandmother tried unsuccessfully to teach me how to knit. During the December 27th snowmagedon blizzard we had in New York City, I found myself trapped in my apartment for a few days. Thanks to you YouTube and having running out of ideas, I taught myself how to knit. So far, I have knitted a small matt, 2 hats and a small scarf. My brother tells me that I have a knitting...

The Storm
The huge Snowpocalypse we had in New York City this past December 27-28 did affect me. I was supposed to travel to Indiana that day,  but my flight got moved for the 30th, then back to the 29 and finally cancelled. That makes me sad. I was really looking forward to meet Tim’s hometown and family.   We had two feet of snow making 2010 the snowiest year in recorded history for New York City.Please...

Another year to remember
I have taken my sweet time to write my thoughts about the past year. This post finds me half way through January, and I have not post anything since New Year’s Eve. I will be quick writing this. There is so much I have to catch up with. This past year 2010: -       I broke a rib and became very good at a new sport. Snowboarding. -       I worked as a go-go boy for a few months. -       I dated...
