Boots & Saddle to HELL
I used to go to Boots & Saddle a few years ago and it was awesome. What the hell happened since then?
Last night I went back to Boots to see a drag friend of mine perform.
Before we entered we got pushed by a large doorman, who asked for our IDs. I understand that they have to do this, but I fail to understand why he had to be so condescendant and rude.
Once inside I wished my friend had chosen another location. The place was beyond packed. There were so many people trying to fit in a small space that we got pushed to the bar, only to be greeted by a very immature bartender who screamed at us telling us that either we buy a drink or we move out of his bar.
The doorman walked in the bar and started screaming at everybody to make a path while forcefully walking trough the crowd. Being a large (read fat) man, everybody was being pushed and shoved by him.
At some point, the doorman walked to the bar, grabbed the man sitting next to me, and pulled him out of the bar, while screaming at the top of his lungs that he had to get out, and telling people to “F***ng move out of the way”. Hard to move at all when there is no place to move.
I shall NEVER step foot in that place again.
